The Central Restaurant, located on the first floor of the Liberty Central Hotel in HCMC’s District 1, is a familiar venue for Saigonese and tourists with its popular Western and Asian cuisine.

The restaurant, designed in an elegant European style, offers more than 100 dishes for lunch. For Vietnamese dishes, diners have a chance to enjoy rustic choices such as canh rau mong toi (basella alba soup) made with shrimp, grilled eggplant and onions fried in oil, fried pork side with pepper and salt and boiled vegetable with kho quet (a dish of meat and fish sauce cooked over a low fire). Kho quet can also be tried with dried shrimp, pork side and fish sauce. The restaurant offers crab hotpot, oyster hotpot, Norway salmon hotpot, hotpot of steamed ostrich with lemon grass and Hong Kong chicken with mushroom hotpot.

For  Western cuisine, the restaurant prepares beef and shrimp dishes and popular delights such as duck breast roasted with orange sauce, duck breast steamed with wine or duck breast fried with honey.

Next month, the restaurant will introduce new dishes featuring hong fish. The fish is considered a delicacy as its meat is very sweet, full of
nutrition, lean and is popular in Hong Kong, Japan and some European countries. The fish can be grilled, steamed with onion or roasted with pepper.

The restaurant has the capacity for over 100 guests with separate rooms for Asian and Western cuisine. Lunch is prepared from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and priced from VND49,000++.

The restaurant is located on the first floor at the Liberty Central Hotel, 179 Le Thanh Ton Street in HCMC’s District 1, tel: 6291 7977.
