Photography camp opens in northern region

The photography camp for northern mountainous provinces opened yesterday in Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien province.

Forty members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) from 15 provinces and cities are attending the camp, representing Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Yan Bai, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Can, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc.

The eight-day camp offers a series of programmes including sightseeing and workshops, aiming to inspire participants to create high quality literary and artistic works featuring the lives of the local people.

The event, sponsored by the VAPA and the Dien Bien provincial Literature and Arts Association, provides an opportunity for VAPA members in the region to meet each other and exchange experiences and ideas.

The organising board will select 80 of the best photos to display at an exhibition promoting tourism in the region.

Itinerary in detail:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL HA NOI - HA LONG BAY (D)

Upon arrival at Noi Bai international airport, meet by our representative and proceed to Ha Long City (Ha Long Bay was awarded by UNESCO as a natural heritage in 1994). Spend four hour to drive will show you the diversity of the North Vietnam villages and rice fields along the journey. In the evening, transfer to hotel for check-in. Dinner at local restaurant.

DAY 2: HA LONG BAY - HA NOI (B / L / D)

After breakfast, half day boat trip in Ha Long Bay to view multi-shaped rocks and visit dramatic caves, grottos such as: Paradise Grotto and Wooden Stakes Cave. lunch will be served on boat with fresh seafood. Return to Ha Noi, sightseeing at Hoan Kiem Lake, 36 ancient street and shopping. Dinner at local restaurant.

DAY 3: HA NOI - DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure with a sweet memories.
