Various special tours to open during the Hue Festival 2012

Two special tours of Hue City, “Sailing to discover Huong River” and “Visiting old villages” will be opened for tourists during Festival Hue 2012, from April 7th to 16th, as a part of the chain of various activities to mark the National Tourism Year in the North-Central Midland region – Hue 2012.
In “Sailing to discover Huong River” tour, tourists will enjoy the poetic beauty of Huong River and learning more about many legends of the imperial capital of Hue. Also, tourists can visit various famous places in Hue City, including Thien Mu Pagoda, Nghinh Luong Dinh yard, Kim Long lands, the relic site complex of Vo Thanh-Van Thanh-Khai Thanh Tu, the Hon Chen Temple, Vong Canh hill, Truong Tien Bridge, Dong Ba market, Hen hillock and Bao Vinh old quarter.
Tourists will select to visit the upper or the lower of Huong River on a Long Quang boat, simulated from a famous boat from the Nguyen dynasty and enjoy special royal food. The tour, from 8am to 6pm will cost VND 80,000 per person.
 Meanwhile, joining the “Visiting old villages” tour will take tourists to Phuoc Tich old village in Phong Dien District to explore its cultural values with banyan tree, river wharf, communal house’s yard and valuable Kingpost. Also, various unique souvenirs made from traditional pottery are expected to attract tourists.
